I’m back in Newport, RI. Hands down it is one of my favorite cities to visit. Every time I am there I discover something new. At this point there are places there I consider must sees even if I have been before – Cliff Walk being one of them. There really are no words to describe the experience of walking along a path with the ocean on one side and great architectural mansions on the other.

This time the primary reason I was in Newport was to shoot an upcoming editorial for a bridal magazine. The team took over the Eisenhower House on the grounds of Fort Adams State Park. It was fun to spend the day shooting in what was once the summer White House of President Eisenhower. In fact, the room that was set up for me to change in between looks was actually Eisenhower’s bedroom!

In today’s edition of how to dress up a favorite pair of pants (in this case my Madewell jeans), I added a few prints – primarily a flowery Zara blazer. On this day my only plan was to have no plans…simply to wander and see what places caught my eye. I wore a striped Hollister peplum top and then added these comfortable Primark slides (similar and affordable here).
