Christmas is almost here with the beginning of advent tomorrow, and I’m ready for all of the excitement and joy that this season brings! Not that I ever need an excuse to get dressed up! As I begin to layer up for fall and beyond, I like to use prints to make a statement, particularly by mixing prints. One pattern I especially like to play with is plaid. While I love this print all year round, it always seems to make its way into a lot of my looks this time of year. Regardless of whether the scale of the plaid is mini or bold, it has the ability to contrast well with other prints while still standing out. I’m wearing an old Jones New York jacket (similar here), which has an all-Americana feel to it with its classic blue buffalo check. This inspired my color palette for the rest of the look…cool blues. I finished it off with a favorite pair of sunnies, my baker boy hat, and Zara booties. See below for similar styles. Does anyone else like to mix prints?
