New York City is electric any time of year but I’m excited for the energy that comes with fashion week. Well here it is almost upon us. I’m always interested to see what the designers send down their runways, what old trends pop back up as “new,” and how those are translated onto the street. In the meantime I’m going to eek out the rest of dressing for summer for as long as the weather cooperates. Today I wore a little tropical print Zara dress in Times Square before heading to an evening out.
Dresses are my go-to during the summer – they are just so easy to throw on when you are traveling. I especially love wearing prints, as evidenced here and here! You might not be on a tropical vacation but there is no reason why you can’t dress as though you are! With its cutouts and ties, this Zara dress gives me island vibes (I also love this one). I dressed it up a bit for an evening out with Heidi Daus chandelier earrings (similar ones here) and my new favorite block heel slides.
Block heel slides have become a summer favorite, such as this pair. They are not only affordable but also on trend. I also love this pair and these by Dolce Vita. I finished the look with a classic Tory Burch clutch and some vintage rings.
