Saturday of New York Fashion Week 2018 was a busy day for me, starting very early with Dan Liu at Spring Studios. Next up was Son Jung Wan, which I was so excited to see because of her reputation of having a superb color sense. For her Fall/Winter 2018 collection, I was absolutely not disappointed in this regard! The show started with beautiful pastel hues and then transitioned harmoniously into darker jewel tones and metallics. She played with proportions, silhouettes, and textures using a masterful touch. There were feathers, beads, flares, peplums…and yet it was never too much or to the point of being distracting. My favorite looks were an oversize bomber-esque coat in shades of yellow, aquamarine, and pink paired with flare trousers, and a dramatic peacock blue and purple high-low blouse worn with embellished jeans. Let’s just say my color-loving heart was happy!

Before the shows I had a little time to stop by the Metropolitan Museum of Art to get a few shots. I decided to wear a pair of high-waisted hybrid cargo pants. Because it was relatively cool (although not as cold as it could have been!), I layered a long suede vest by Who What Wear under a patterned coat from Zara. Also wearing Zara booties and carrying a Zara bag.
