By now you might know I love color – usually the more the better. But sometimes I do switch it up and take a more minimalistic approach to the hues I’m wearing. I’ve had this Express skirt for a while and it goes with everything. It is cut just right and has the perfect slit. I’m wearing it today with a tiger print tee from Zara. Accessorized with my vintage Louis Vuitton bag (I have the best aunt – she has an uncanny gift of finding things and is so generous), handmade tassel earrings, and a vintage choker which I wrapped around my wrist as a bracelet.
Regardless of what I’m wearing, it’s a safe bet that I will need to have a pop of color somewhere. Earlier in the day I was walking through NYC’s Little Italy and came across this tiny shop with the most amazing assortment of sunglasses. These purple lenses really caught my attention and I couldn’t resist. Got to love summer weather though! Literally moments after buying them, I was huddled under a restaurant’s awning in the midst of a torrential downpour. But then you know everything happens for a reason because by the time I got to the Intrepid, the rain had stopped and the lighting was surreal. Magic hour.
Pointy toe mules are on my list of cool options that work well for summer but will also transition effectively into the fall months. Here are a few of my current favorites:
